Little Red Riding Hood-A Mobile Home Realtor Storey

Little Red Riding Hood-A Mobile Home Realtor Storey

Once Upon a Time…

Little Red Riding Hood, “Debbie Storey” joined Lyon Real Estate to sell mobile homes in parks.  Grandma’s house, “Seller”, was a double wide mobile home constructed in the 1970’s.  She had lived in this park for 25 years with all her friends.  She now needed to live with her family and sell her beloved home.
The Big Bad Wolf in this case was “Deferred Maintenance”.
Grandma had been too ill to take care of the home so when it came time to sell, the “Wolf” had gotten into bed and was ready to eat someone.
As the story goes, The Huntsman, “Fidelity Home Warranty” came to the rescue.  Buyers can add this to the contract at any time.
Once the home inspection and termite inspection had been done, Little Red Riding Hood renegotiated the contract with the approval of both parties: the choice was by having the items repaired or changing the purchase price.
The Huntsman rescued the Buyer from any future mishaps so they would not get eaten alive.
      Everyone lived Happily Ever After….

Jack and Jill--Conserving Water in Ca

Jack and Jill, A Mobile Home Storey

Once Upon a Time…

Remember those clumsy twins Jack and Jill? When they grew up, they became environmentalists for water resources in California.  Did you expect anything less from them?
They now live in “green” modular home in a very small park on the American River.  It is just a bike ride away from the state capitol.  No one realizes what a small footprint a manufactured home leaves.
Jack is very handy so he has retro fitted all the plumbing with water saving devices.  Good thing too with the drought upon them.  Jill spends most of her time out and about in all of the rivers and creeks testing, sampling and figuring out the best way to keep the water in the state pure.  Someday water may be more expensive than oil.
Their message for everyone is to have clean water. Please designated a family member, close friend, or a neighbor upon your demise to dispose properly of all of your medications.  Dispose of paints, used oil, cleaning solvents, polishes, insecticides, and other hazardous household chemicals correctly.
And they are splashing Happily Ever After….

Cinderella - The Later Years (A Mobile Home Storey)

Cinderella, The Later Years -A Mobile Home Storey

Once Upon a Time…

There was a young maiden named Cinderella who lived in a huge castle with  Prince Charming.  Theirs was a whirlwind romance.
Alas, today she is much older and has put those glass slippers away.
Cinderella now has a beautiful silver cane.  There are decisions to be made.
The castle has become way too much upkeep; the taxes are overwhelming on her retirement income and she is lonely because the prince passed away years ago.
Cinderella still wants to live life to the fullest so it is time to move.  Her Fairy Godmother picked Lyon Real Estate’s Debbie Storey to guide her in choosing the perfect home.  She has chosen to live in  a Mobile Home +55 Community!
Of course she will need a garden to grow pumpkins to make pies for her grand children.  She will also make sure her black cat; “Ashes” will be with her.
She wanted a gated park with video camera surveillance just in case her step sisters came looking for her.  She wanted a clubhouse with swimming pool, spa and library to read all her favorite fairy tales.   Once a resident, it will be short time before she joins the social events such as card games, potlucks, dances, talent shows, holiday dinners and swim classes.  And best of all,
hundreds of new friends.  She chose Golden Palms Estates.
Cinderella moved in three weeks ago and she is having a “Ball”!

Moral of the Storey:
Choose the right home for the right reasons.
